Built by neighbors, for neighbors
Paws Community Foundation was born from a simple idea: every dog deserves a safe place to run, and every neighbor deserves a reason to gather. We're working to turn that idea into a real, lasting space in the heart of Oakland, Iowa.
This park isn't just for dogs — it's a community hub where friendships are made, kids play alongside pets, and Oakland comes alive. We believe great towns are built one shared space at a time.

Off-Leash Play Area
Fully fenced open space where dogs of all sizes can run, explore, and socialize freely — safely.
Community Pavilion
A shaded gathering spot for neighbors to connect, host events, and enjoy the park together.
Farmers/Vendor Market Space
A dedicated space where local growers, makers, and vendors gather regularly — bringing fresh produce, handmade goods, and a little Oakland spirit right to the park.
Walking Trails
Paved and natural surface paths winding through green space — perfect for a morning stroll with your pup.
